The Berg and Coiron region
During your holiday, it is well worth visiting the Berg and Coiron region. Discover the 14 villages through three different geographical landscapes: the Coiron plateau, the village of Berg and the Ibie Valley. Between the prehistoric heritage and medieval heritage, you will find yourself on a true voyage of discovery!
Natural sites brimming with remarkable heritages, such as Belvédère-Saint Laurent sous Coiron with its panoramic view of the Coiron massif and Ardéche mountains, the Saint Pons Neck (mountain peak of hard rock) located in Roche-Chérie is found between two ledges of basaltic rock, the Sceautres Basaltic Neck is the largest in Europe, formed by old volcanic vents, you will discover the statue of a white virgin at the summit. Also not to be missed, the Basaltic Flows and the Mirabel tower, the Balmes de Montbrun and Saint Gineis en Coiron: Some thirty caves were formed. In the Ibie valley you will also be amazed by the beauty of the Trou de la Lune in Saint Maurice d’Ibie, a dam of the former mill of Noé, with its pebble beach. Lastly, go and visit the Dolmen de Mias in Lussas and the Berzème Arboretum, 25 hectares of different tree species around the castle.
